FaceBook 1.5 for BlackBerry is finally here… Get it while its hot!

DaveAstra one of our members and new player in the theme designing world (more on that soon)  just sent me hot news that the facebook 1.5 Application is now available for ALL BlackBerry smart phones.

This is awesome news for all you peeps waiting for this release

You can download this OTA from BlackBerry Application World or head over to mobile.blackberry.com on your phones browser

If you previously were running a leaked copy of Facebook 1.5 on your device it sounds like you may need to do a handheld wipe to rid your BlackBerry of the leaked version’s database. The official version doesn’t seem to recognize the in-between leaked version, so it creates a new duplicate database. Deleting the leaked version and doing a battery pull before installing the official doesn’t quite seem to do the trick. However, you can still install and run the new version even if you don’t do the wipe… you’re just hogging a bit of resources to no benefit. If you were running a leaked version, you can drop your findings on this in the comments.

FaceBook 1.5 Leaked for OS 4.6!

Well we talked about this update from FaceBook a few days ago and here it is released for Operating Systems 4.6

This is ONLY for BlackBerry OS version 4.6.xxx, so think 8220 Pearl Flip, 9000 Bold and 8900 Javelin. No others at the moment but hopefully we will find a 4.7.xxx version soon.

This is a desktop downloand so you will have to use desktopm manager to load it up. Currently not OTA.
